You know what makes the best photos?
An amazing wedding cake. And what makes a wedding cake amazing is fondant done correctly! How many times have I, as a photographer, been working an incredibly beautiful wedding only to get to the cake cutting and have to be creative with my angles because the wedding cake is a disaster! It’s something I see all too often and I think it’s because so many people are trying to save money by D.I.Y wedding caking. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m all for D.I.Y projects, I just think your own wedding cake deserves more than just a youtube video tutorial. I was working with Glasgow wedding photographer Mark Anderson last week and we wondered what would be a perfect guide for a wedding cake. Well, here is what I came up with!
Want to fondant? You have to see this guide!
There is one source for all things fondant, and that is fondant online, they really know what they are doing, and they are also at creating excitement about the learning process. I’ve referred this website to countless brides who wanted to attempt their own wedding cake, and the results have been fantastic! If you are interested in learning the craft, it’s a great starting point. They also have some really unique and easy to follow methods that all but guarantee you a very professional looking wedding cake, and as a photographer I think that it just about the best thing since a slice of… wedding cake!
