Things you didn’t think about before you were engaged.

Your wedding is coming and you aren’t ready!

No one told you it would be like this. It’s supposed to be the best time of your life, but truth be told, you are feeling a little overwhelmed.  With vendor meetings lined up for the next forever, and dress fittings, and bridal parties to organize… the list goes on and on and on. So you end up surfing the internet looking for tips and advice on how you can make the day, and the days leading up to the day, as smooth and as pleasant as possible. Well, you did come to the right place!

Make a list. Check it twice. (no, not like Santa)

If you are as organized as I am (which is, to say, not very organized) you need to use lists. Lists allow you to get your thoughts in order as well as determine and prioritize the most important tasks, and dismiss the trivial. Lists put things into perspective and often have a very calming effect. The act of writing them and then actually seeing them is enough to take me from a ten on the stress scale right down to a yogi inspired zero.

Get your butt in shape, before it’s too late!

This is the number one stress factor I see when dealing with brides. I get it too, we all want to look our best on our wedding day. After all, the amount of money we spend on photographers and videographers we at least want to be able to look at ourselves and be proud we looked so great! So why does getting in shape always end up on the back burner? Well, when we are under stress we often revert to old habits. If that habit happens to be sitting on the couch eating ice cream and watching ‘The Voice” then that is what we are going to end up doing. It is possible, of course, to break this cycle. It takes dedication, commitment, and the willingness to see it through long past your wedding day. Remind you of something? It should. A147 healthy lifestyle is no different than a healthy marriage. You could always go the traditional route and get yourself a membership to a gym, which is great. I’d really like to bring your attention to “Save Yourself! Do This.” A New healthy lifestyle book that includes the taste bud boot camp 10 Day Detox for 14.99! It’s exactly about what I’m talking about. It’s not just a great body you are after, it’s a new way of living your life, a healthy life.

Book those specialist vendors, they go quickly!

These are outside of the norm, I’m not talking about catering, photography or rentals. I’m talking about the super unique vendor that really defines a wedding, I’ve been to
a few DSC_6831weddings that hired magicians and let me just say, nothing gets a crowd excited as a great magician! It’s the perfect surprise for your guests and they excite all age groups. For those of you getting married in or near Gloucester you must check out Andy Field. He is a wedding magician in Gloucester and he is exactly the type of specialty vendor I am talking about.
