You paid for the photographer, don’t let your awesome photos go to waste!

Digital photos are great, but they don’t last forever!

This is something I’ve been meaning to discuss for quite awhile, so I’m going to take the time and do it. Right now. I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings and I always wonder about the couples who don’t order a wedding album through me. Yes, they can be expensive, and yes, there are other options. I just hope that these couples are actually printing their images and not just letting them sit on a USB stick.

Once upon time there was no digital storage

You had to get your images printed. You couldn’t use or look at the negative film that was sitting in a shoe box under your bed. The transition to the digital world meant you could look at the images on a computer screen without actually printing them off. Pretty awesome if you are looking to save a few bucks.

USB, DVD, Cloud Storage, they can all vanish

USB sticks especially. They are small and easy to misplace. When I shoot a wedding as soon as I get back to my office I back up the photos on 4 separate mediums. That way, if there is a server fire with my cloud storage company, I’m still covered. Most couples only keep their images on 1 device. Lose that device and you just lost your entire set of wedding photos.

Get those beautiful photos printed in an album, you’ll be glad you did.

The look on the face of the bride when she opens her wedding album. It’s priceless, it’s another one of the reasons I love my job so much. It makes me so happy to see clients so happy. I always recommend spending the extra few dollars and getting an album that is leather bound. Talk about timeless! Check out www.weddingalbumstudio.com this place delivers a beautiful album and they are an absolute joy to work with. I know I use them for all of my brides wedding albums! If you are taking a honeymoon in Punta Cana, or anywhere else, you can be sure your album will be ready when you get back!
